About the book
The collection includes articles and notes by the author from 2019 to 2025, most of which relate to the presidency of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russia’s war in Ukraine. The reader will be interested to learn the author’s view on the peculiarities of V. Zelenskyy’s coming to power in Ukraine, his ties with Russia, his pro-Russian orientation and dependence on pro-Russian forces that set themselves the goal of returning Ukraine to the Kremlin’s sphere of interests. Zelenskyy did everything to fulfill the will of these forces and actually contributed to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Putin counted on the fact that in three days or a couple of weeks Ukraine would surrender to him. But the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people thwarted these plans, and Putin’s special military operation turned into a protracted war, and Zelenskyy had to reorient himself and play the role of a hero who led Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression. The author analyzes the facts of corruption of Zelenskyy and his entourage, which are usually ignored by other authors who see Zelenskyy as a Ukrainian patriot and hero of this war. In a number of articles the author examines the nature of Russia’s war on Ukraine, and offer his view of a strategy for Ukraine’s victory in this war along with Ukraine’s development in the long term, which Zelenskyy and his entourage do not even think about due to their incompetence, unwillingness to learn and admit their mistakes, or repent or at least regret.
About the Author
Prof. Dr. Volodymyr Ivanenko is a well-known Ukrainian American scholar, journalist and publicist, founder and CEO of Ukraina, Inc (set. 1996) and its subsidiaries (Ukrainian Worldwide Information Network, Ukrainian University, Ukraina Journal). His interests include Ukrainian and American studies. Over the last decades he has been working intensively on Ukraine’s long-term development strategy. He authored hundreds of scientific studies and thousands of journalistic publications.
